CPO Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the following individuals who were selected by a committee composed of senior and master chief petty officers to receive the 1999 CPO Scholarships.

Tait Walker

Tait Walker

Tait Walker, a resident of Williamsburg, VA, is the recipient of the  CPO Scholarship for the retired category.  Tait's sponsor is TMC Louis Walker, USN (Ret).

Jennifer Hunt

Jennifer Anne Hunt

Jennifer Anne Hunt, of Mobile, AL, is the awardee in the Active Duty - East Coast category.   She will attend Kansas State University.  To the Navy's Chiefs she wrote, "I want to thank you so much for the scholarship.  It will help me fulfill my dreams."  Her sponsor is  MMC(SW) Charles Hunt, USN.  Chief Hunt works at NRS Mobile.

Neill Flores

Chris Neill V. Flores

Chris Neill V. Flores, of Oak Harbor, WA, is the Active Duty - West Coast category recipient. Chris's sponsor is Chief Cornelio C. Flores, USN, of COMVAQWINGPAC.  Chris will attend the University fo Washington.  Chris wrote to say, "Thank you and everyone who was in charge of picking the candidates and winners.   My parents and I appreciate it very much."

Nathan Cleaveland

Nathan A. Cleveland

Nathan A. Cleveland, winner of the scholarship for the Reserve category, lives in Telford, PA.  He graduated from Zion Academy Home School and will attend Indiana Wesleyan University .  His sponsor is ACC(AW) Brian R. Cleveland, USNR(TAR).

Trisha Patton

Trisha Patton

Trisha Patton lives in Rota, Spain. She is the scholarship recipient in the OUTCONUS category.  She will attend the University of California, Davis.  She wrote to say, "I would just like to say thank you again for this scholarship.   It will assist me tremendously next year."  Her sponsor is UTC Vincent Patton.
